Conor Benn had a big win at a high weight over a very weight drained Chris Eubank Jr but he is getting carried away a bit.
Benn defeated Chris Eubank Jr in their rematch in a stadium in the UK but the English boxer is now mostly based in the US for boxing.
He had been in line to take on Ryan Garcia, a welterweight champion from America, next up but the fight is not confirmed yet.
Benn has been making light of a defeat some years ago Garcia had to Baltimore’s Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis.
Where he was knocked out back in 2023 in round 7 at this point though on April 22nd at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
A strange thing to try to diss Garcia with as Garcia has boxed people on a far higher level in the sport than Conor Benn has.
Benn has said Garcia quit in the fight. Maybe he did.
Alas, the fight was meant to be on with Benn and Garcia soon but it is not agreed yet, this from Benn is not helping that.
It looks like Garcia and his team anyway could be looking at much bigger fights like Devin Haney next up currently.
Conor Benn has beat the likes of Regis Prograis, Chris Algieri and Chris Eubank Jr but look at the Garcia resume as well.
He has been competing against the likes of Mario Barrios, Gervonta Davis, Rolando Romero, Devin Haney, Oscar Duarte, Luke Campbell and more over the years.
Ryan Garcia defeated Barrios earlier this year at welterweight via unanimous points decision.
At the end of the day the likes of Devin Haney will make Ryan Garcia five times more money at least.
He does not need to listen to pointless taunts and goads from Conor Benn.
