Marcos Maidana Names His Price To Comeback To Boxing But Is He Right

Marcos Maidana names his price to get back into the boxing ring after all these years as comebacks continue from ex boxers.

Who knows what’s happening with him down there in Argentina.

He said however now he’s willing to come back to boxing for a fight only for $20 million dollars.

A few things here.

Sure, maybe they could get the money together and put it up to put him into a fight with some big name or against Jake Paul or someone else, he’s possibly get more for fighting Jake Paul.

But he’s been retired now. Some things to look at here on this:

  • Robert Garcia said Maidana would get 20 million paydays if he beats Mayweather some years ago now – Mayweather beat him twice though.
  • Garcia added he would end up wealthy as Maidana’s trainer with paydays like that
  • Maidana said a Pacquiao fight tempted him
  • An Argentine paper reported Maidana’s PBC contract was 14.5 million total some years ago.
  • The contract was 1.5 million for fight one, 3 million for fight two, 10 million for fight three at the time, for his based purses.
  • Maidana said he does not need money previously
  • Maidana was going to comeback before but previously called off his comeback after he lost hunger for it

So all in all, is this just Marcos Maidana testing the market?

He might be.

He might be not.

Whether Pacman would be interested in a fight with him is another thing, that is also to be factored in.

Marcos Maidana looked to have been doing some promotional stuff as a promoter or something in Argentina in recent times.

Who knows what is going on with him there.

He did have many entertaining fights in his career it must be said.
