Former heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois hits back at Wardley binman jibes before their heavyweight title fight.
It came as a strange comment apparently as a joke about what job Daniel Dubois could do after boxing.
Speaking a short time ago at the final press conference Dubois reacted by saying:
“And by the way Fabio I heard you called me the dustman and I’m going to collect that trash boy. I’m going to collect that trash. I’m going to collect that trash. No. It’s disrespect. So I’m going to put it right in the ring. No mate. No I heard what you said. I’m going to bust his bubble anyway. That’s what I got to do.”
On if he was rattled, Dubois strongly denied this:
“Not at all. I love this fight. This is a world title fight. I’m 100% ready.”
Someone will be looking to take out the trash on Saturday night. That’s for sure.
This fight has a stoppage written all over it.
The power both hit with but don’t be surprised if it is a chess match early on.
Both will be looking to get their timing down and establish their own game plan best early on.
Starting fast would be an advantage though for either boxer here.
You could say Dubois has been in much bigger fights though and has fought tougher competition.
This might give him a slight edge even though he’s not the champion against Fabio Wardley.
