Deontay Wilder next fight rumors 2026

Let’s look at a few of the Deontay Wilder next fight rumors 2026 and onwards.

‘The Bronze Bomber’ recently had his second comeback fight to the sport since an extended time away from boxing in recent years.

Last year he won a low key TKO in a small hall show in the US but in earlier this month he edged Derek Chisora by split decision in the UK after a scrappy bout.

Where both Wilder and Chisora were clearly far past their best now.

It was the couple of incidents on the night with one Anthony Joshua, the former heavyweight champion from the UK, that got the attention of many worldwide however.

Wilder after the win walked past Joshua and appeared to challenge him to get the fight on.

That is one fight for Wilder but there’s plenty of others he is being talked about in at the moment. Jared Anderson a young lion in the US being one.

Moses Itauma in the UK another.

Andy Ruiz Jr if he actually makes his comeback to boxing this year, another.

These three fights would be very dangerous for Wilder and although he is not in his prime anymore, Wilder that is, he might still have enough of a punch to cause some concern for the above.

His power didn’t look there anymore though against Chisora and although he got one knockdown on ‘Del Boy’ often times his power landed flush and did nothing to Chisora.

The smart thing for him to do would be to retire but he won’t he’ll fight on and again this year we believe.

He’s a big enough name in the US and worldwide still at heavyweight to possibly get a high profile fight again next up, with his two win momentum as well at the moment.

If one Wladimir Klitschko decides to return to boxing at a very advanced age of nearly 50 now maybe that’s a fight that can be made for Wilder as well.

The novelty of it with both being in advanced years and former heavyweight champions would surely be somewhat of a big sell with boxing and casual sports fans alike.

A fight for Wilder against the main current heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk seems not very likely but never say never.

If Usyk chose to fight a kickboxer next in Egypt surely he could pick someone like Wilder based on that strange level of opponent choice.

Whatever happens to Deontay Wilder he has given the sport of boxing and boxing fans some entertaining knockouts over the years.
