Why Mayweather Tyson Fight Farce Shows Mayweather Is Done

Mayweather Tyson Fight

Not only is he trying to back out of the Pacman rematch but it gets much worse for Floyd Mayweather.

The once celebrated American sportsman is nose diving fast into oblivion in rapid live time as we speak.

The Pacman rematch was announced by Netflix for September with a date and a venue even.

Now Mayweather apparently is trying to get it turned to an exhibition or is trying to back out of it.

He also mentioned on social media he’d be fighting Mike Tyson in an exhibition in the Congo in Africa but we are half way through the month and nothing official on that still.

Mayweather has become a farce at this point and as boxing is returning to the masses worldwide at the moment in live time, Floyd Mayweather is going in the opposite direction from us as an entire sport.

Here are 12 short reasons why many now see Mayweather as a farce:

  1. No official press conference or confirmation for the Tyson exhibition in Africa this month.
  2. Constant big announcements that never materialize.
  3. Repeated “retirements” followed by endless exhibitions at age 49.
  4. Zero real competitive fights for years — only safe paydays.
  5. Accusations of taking money then downgrading bouts to exhibitions.
  6. Turning boxing into a never-ending cash grab.
  7. Protecting the “0” at all costs with mismatched or fake fights.
  8. Boring, low-action style in exhibitions.
  9. Lingering tax and financial lawsuit drama.
  10. Legacy overshadowed by hype and broken promises.
  11. Tyson fight (both old) feels like pure nostalgia cash-in.
  12. Fans and media increasingly call it “broke Floyd” chasing easy money.

The Tyson exhibition remains unconfirmed with no real updates.

Only a short time ago Pacman said he also believes Mayweather is scared of losing his undefeated record.

We are doing great again as a sport. And, boxing will only continue to rapidly return to prominence worldwide in the days and weeks ahead.

Rapidly.

Not the case for Floyd Mayweather.

He has until the end of the day to agree the rematch with Pacman.
