Mayweather Pacquiao 2 Date Deadline To Agree Rematch, Pacman Explodes On Mayweather

Mayweather Pacquiao 2 Date

Mayweather has until the end of the day April 14th to agree properly the rematch with Pacman.

That is what is just been mooted now on social media and in various places.

Manny Pacquiao has also just told the Inside Ring Show:

“I think he’s scared of losing because that is his leverage to go around and have exhibitions because of his undefeated record but if that record is ruined what else can he go around to leverage to have exhibition matches?”

It is important to remember here that Netflix themselves announced this match as a proper fight and had a date set in September and a venue as well.

Mayweather is clearly the problem and issue here.

If he doesn’t agree the fight it will taint his legacy forever with not just fans in the US but worldwide.

And will prove Pacman right in his sentiments above today.

Here are 12 whys as well why many boxing fans will hold it against Floyd Mayweather if he never agrees to a proper professional rematch with Manny Pacquiao:

  1. The first fight in 2015 was widely seen as a disappointment — fans paid huge PPV money and felt robbed of a true war.
  2. Pacquiao fought with a torn rotator cuff; many believe a healthy Pacquiao would have given Floyd real problems.
  3. Floyd’s camp allegedly blocked Pacquiao from getting a cortisone shot before the first fight, then Mayweather used a controversial IV himself.
  4. Mayweather waited until Pacquiao was past his absolute prime to finally fight him, then avoided the rematch when Pac was still dangerous.
  5. It would be the only realistic chance to see the “Fight of the Century” actually live up to the hype.
  6. Fans view it as Mayweather protecting his 50-0 record at all costs instead of proving greatness against his biggest rival again.
  7. Pacquiao has repeatedly called Mayweather out and shown willingness — Floyd’s consistent dodging looks like fear.
  8. Boxing history remembers fighters who ducked rematches (like some greats) negatively, and this would join that list.
  9. The money is still massive — fans see no excuse other than ego and record preservation.
  10. A decisive rematch would finally settle the debate on who was truly better in their primes.
  11. Many feel the first fight’s decision was generous to Floyd, and fans want closure with a fairer version.
  12. Pacquiao is one of the most beloved fighters ever — denying fans a proper sequel feels like disrespecting the sport and the public.

Tick tock goes the Mayweather clock.

Pacman, Netflix and boxing will move on shortly otherwise.
