Despite David Benavidez saying that Bivol isn’t interested in a fight with him or moving up to cruiserweight, not the case here.
Dmitry Bivol for now is the undisputed light=heavyweight champion at 175 pounds.
A weight class he has for now proved himself to be the best at but the trilogy fight with Artur Beterbiev still awaits.
That third fight can of course happen at cruiserweight up a division too.
Bivol has now confirmed he’s interested in fighting at that weight as well:
The Beterbiev trilogy remains one of the biggest fights that can be made in all of world boxing.
Surely a massive Russian soccer stadium in St. Petersburg — home to their soccer team as well — whom Bivol has a big fan base — makes most sense.
There are many champions at cruiserweight as well.
It is all happening now in boxing and cruiserweight is a lively division at the moment.
As is 175 pounds still as well.
Recently Bivol responded to one interesting question on Khabib here as well.
