Shakur Stevenson Speaks On The Importance Of Becoming A 4-Weight World Champion

Becoming world champion is not enough for Shakur Stevenson nor is making a load of money. He must and wants to and will now go further.

Stevenson must get more precise, smart but takes things up a notch in terms of attacking and aggression all the time in his career.

While still keeping the brilliant defense.

He takes on the bigger Teofimo Lopez this week in New York, Lopez is the bigger of the two.

Speaking to DAZN on a shoulder program from them ahead of the fight this week Stevenson said:

“As long as I’m locked in, and focused on what I am supposed to be doing. Nothing else matters around me. That four weight world champion, it means everything to me. Has been separating myself a lot of these guys that they claim is the guys nowadays. None of them can say that there are any four weight world champion. Got a lot of weaknesses though. He’s a very good fighter but I do see a lot of weaknesses. He’s not going to correct them overnight. It is gonna be the same Teo that we done seen 1000 times before. He will come out there trying to perform highly and I’m going to take advantage.”

Very few become a four-weight world champion.

Stevenson knows he is making things happen and he is the creator of his reality and destiny.

Not anyone else.

Teofimo Lopez on the other hand seems confused and all over the place lately.

That said, it should be an intriguing fight.

Let’s see what happens.
