Is Itauma vs Usyk realistic? As of early 2026 we don’t think it is. Here is why.

Oleksandr Usyk is scheduled to fight Deontay Wilder in the summer firstly. This is what is being targeted and will tie up Usyk until then.
Itauma will need to find a challenging opponent in the meantime.
If Itauma were to win by big knockout next up against a contender or big name you never know by the end of the year though.
Usyk possibly will box twice this year and it is also possible Usyk will sign with TKO and Zuffa Boxing this year. Although that is not confirmed a lot of talks
in digital media suggest that may in fact happen.
Itauma on his side could box three times this year or maybe more if he wants to. It is entirely possible for him to box four times this year if he stays injury free and wins by knockout against some big names and contenders at heavyweight this year.
If he puts in two or three quick knockout wins against big names in 2026 a fight with Usyk by the end of the year is of course possible.
If Usyk is still champion and has the belts by then if he is not upset by Deontay Wilder.
Usyk is also in a lot of talks for many fights like this as well.
