Who might Fury fight first upon comeback? 5 Possible Opponents

Who Might Fury Fight First Upon Comeback

Who might Fury fight first upon comeback to boxing this year is anyone’s guess in 2026 but he has many options. Let’s look at some of them.

Tyson Fury remains a big name in heavyweight boxing, boxing and all of worldwide professional sport.

Those legendary fights he had with Deontay Wilder full of knockdowns and heart some years ago now has forever cemented his place and legacy as a true great of the sport based on heart and determination alone.

He fought the literal genius Oleksandr Usyk twice and lost on points twice but one of the fight was very close, Usyk is one of the best boxers that ever lived in our view.

We believe history will show this, it already has really. If Usyk spoke fluent English sooner in his career he’d nearly be as big as Muhammad Ali now with his larger than life personality as well.

He speaks English now though and will get that superstardom brand awareness we believe soon.

As for Fury, he’s been off for a bit in boxing and won’t go straight back in with Usyk of course.

Here’s some opponents he may be fight.

Fabio Wardley

Wardley is the recent new WBO heavyweight champion by default due to Usyk vacating the belt and him becoming champion.

He’s in the UK as well and will want the big fights now he has the belt. It is an easy one to make relatively speaking and presents Fury with an instant world title shot this year upon his return.

It gives Wardley a huge pay day as well which surely will be of interest to him.

Moses Itauma

A fearless young man from the UK in Moses Itauma would not shirk at the challenge of fighting a former lineal heavyweight champion in Fury.

Some will say it is too soon for Itauma but not us — he will take on all comers and a loss is nothing anymore if he fights well in the fight, his stock will only increase.

Joseph Parker

A friend but a potential foe in the ring could also be New Zealand’s Joseph Parker — whom lost to Wardley last year and had some outside the ring issues which surely will be settled soon.

Once they are he could fight Fury, as a big name in the division, they could even do a fight in New Zealand or Australia which might interest Fury as something different even if he wanted to take his legendary Rocky Balboa career story over to that side of the world too, could be a very smart thing for Fury to do, if he wanted to at some point in boxing or away from boxing anyway.

Jared Anderson

Jared Anderson is a feared young heavyweight in the US but is busy at the moment and could represent a new emerging star name in America for Fury to reacquaint himself with the American audience with.

US fans love Fury for both his brilliant fights with Fury, larger than life personality and all the ‘Living In America’ stuff he did with some of his entrance music when fighting over there before with the USA costumes as well as the ‘Bye Bye Miss American Pie’ music singing and songs there as well. An option.

Wladimir Klitschko

His old rival from Ukraine, Wladimir Klitschko, recently returned at the age of 49 to very heavy sparring in fact. That level of sparring is not just keeping in shape — that is getting ready for a comeback himself.

Fury dethroned him in Germany many years ago now when Klitschko was untouchable, selling out stadiums in Germany, no one was coming close to him.

Fury boxed the ears off him and won easily on points in clinic in what of the great heavyweight boxing displays in history, an away fighter going to Germany and bringing to an end one of the most dominant runs in heavyweight boxing history at the time in the form of Wladimir Klitshko’s reign there.

That fact remains and will always remain. Klitschko might want payback and the story line is a natural one for fans past and present, and easy one to tell to all the new fans worldwide coming to boxing at the moment as well.

Alas the cream always rises to the top above the tiny number (the 0.4% of society, 99.6% of society and people are not of the evil in fact — in reality) of garbage, jealous loser nobody low life haters in life, it since the beginning and will do now and always in civilization.

Fury has the pedigree and the boxing ability when interested in the sport, motivated and training well to box the ears off anyone outside of Usyk but even him Fury will look to get a trilogy fight with him at some point and come in there with a different game plan and make that right.

Fury can do great things again if he wants in boxing. If he wants. No problem.

Let’s see the comeback opponent first.

Fury says a massive announcement is incoming soon.
