Boxing father son trainer and manager relationships in boxing were on the rise in recent years but maybe not so much now anymore.
It doesn’t always work out of course.
Some times the fighter must shove the old man aside and get rid of him to excel.
That may sound cut throat.

Ex World Champ In Shock Move Fires Father And Coach
Former world champion Brian Norman Jr lost his WBO world title last year at welterweight to Devin Haney.
He lost his unbeaten record and has now decided to fire his coach, father and long time trainer Brian Norman senior.
Norman Jr remains one of the most underestimated fighters in the entire sport and was not at his best last year against Haney.
He is absolutely capable of winning the world title again and should not be underestimated.
