Ebanie Bridges Emotional Reaction To Comeback Defeat

It wasn’t meant to be for Australian Ebanie Bridges this weekend in boxing but she is a winner in life and of course in boxing as well.

Bridges, a former world champion, lost in a comeback fight this weekend for the first time since having a child.

She dropped a loss to Alexis Araiza Mones in Puerto Rico.

Speaking on the X platform after the defeat Bridges got a huge reaction a short time ago with:

“Absolutely gutted, it wasn’t my night. Big congrats to my opponent

@MiyoBluedog she was the better fighter tonight. Beautiful & humble, single mother. Seeing how much that win meant to her & her daughter did give me some warmth inside. A loss doesn’t define me. I have no quit, it’s all learning and I’ll be back better & stronger. Thank you to everyone who supports me. I love you all.”

She had not fought since December 2023 to put things in perspective.

That is a lot of ring rust time.

Here’s 10 facts why we think she will be back soon and better:

Former IBF world champion with proven elite-level experience (held title 2022–2023).

Huge social media following (over 800K on Instagram, strong on X and OnlyFans) drives massive fan engagement.

Exceptional marketability from bold weigh-ins and personality, making her a promoter’s dream.

Signed with MVP (Jake Paul’s promotion), giving top-tier support and big cards.

Only 39 years old, still in prime fighting age with room to improve post-layoff.

Two-year hiatus due to motherhood—rust is temporary; she’s motivated and trained fully.

Never been stopped in 12 pro fights (now 9-3), showing durability and heart.

Strong comeback history—rebounded from early loss to win world title.

High entertainment value ensures quick booking for rematches or title shots.

Women’s boxing boom favors charismatic stars like her for major opportunities.

Alas, there were many surprises in women’s boxing this weekend.

This another one from Holly Holm of course.
