Some people think undefeated and undisputed heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk has done it all but not quite yet it appears.
Usyk has never lost and has battered everyone around the world as a professional.
Going from country to country dismantling and eliminating anything that gets in his way.
He’s still getting better however and has not reached his prime or best ability yet, as scary as that is to consider.
You are dealing with true greatness.
Usyk Sheds Surprising Light On What Next After Deontay Wilder
However he wants to box Deontay Wilder next and has now mentioned to Ring Magazine he will look to fight after that in boxing as well.
Again.
He mentioned he’s looking at about two to three more fights in total before retirement.
Happy days.
Here’s some facts on why we believe that he can box on for another five years at least if he wants, go undefeated and still get much better as a fighter in his 40s:
Elite footwork and angles minimize damage.
Never been knocked down in pro career.
Exceptional stamina, finishes rounds stronger.
Late pro start (age 26) means less wear.
350+ amateur fights built refined skills early.
Recent wins over Fury (x2), Joshua (x2), Dubois show peak form.
Plans to fight until age 41.
Low-punishment, movement-based style preserves longevity.
Heavyweight precedents: Foreman, Hopkins succeeded in 40s. Skill edge dominates current division contenders.
Ultimately, however, it is up to Usyk.
No one will come near him at all if he decides to fight on. He will not be beaten if he stays motivated.
Tyson Fury the only one who may be able to come close.
Maybe.
Usyk remains top dog in pound for pound for us currently.
