2025 was a very good year for professional boxing but next year is set to be a far bigger one in all departments for the entire sport worldwide.
Zuffa Boxing owned by the UFC are set to do their first proper boxing event around January 23rd in 2026 live on Paramount as part of a multi-billion dollar new streaming rights deal for UFC and boxing.
TKO, another organization closely affiliated and headed by the UFC’s Dana White and Turki Alalshikh, had an amazing start with their Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford super fight on Netflix in September 2025 and will continue on again with this next year as well.
But boxing has a host of other new companies and governments even in the East continue to invest in and put on new big time professional and world championship boxing events.
There was some dead wood and snake oil salesmen which have already been removed behind the scenes from professional boxing in 2025 and will continue to do so in 2026 so the sport can get rid of them for the benefit of the entire sport and the masses who will be set to tune into boxing in large numbers again across the world in 2026.
That was overdue.
2026 Is All Guns Blazing For Professional Boxing and World Championship Boxing
It was and is needed due to the large companies and governments, powerful large wealthy countries, now all interested in boxing again. A few bad apples are not missed already and will not be missed in 2026 either.
That’s just the way it has got to be. That’s the way it goes.
New players in boxing are going to be coming into the sport again, commercial, and official State government affiliated, and will be coming all guns blazing with the major high level operators in boxing and this will simply result in many more even better great fights for fans.
That’s what boxing fans want and that’s what they will get.
The sport will continue to increase and gain new fans worldwide, in the East even more, and put on more of the best fights involving the best fighters in the world competing against one another on a more regular basis than ever before.
The likes of BBC even in the UK are back in professional boxing shortly and will show big pro boxing events again shortly in 2026.
Fighters are already training well in 2026 to say the least.
