As the days go on more and more begins to be known about what exactly is Gervonta Davis vs Jake Paul’s boxing match on November 14th coming.
It will be live on Netflix from Atlanta and while some say it is an exhibition, that has not been confirmed.
Some are saying it could be a type of hybrid professional boxing match with special rules if the Commission agree to it.
Similar to Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson.
Boxing Analyst Describes Jake Paul vs Gervonta Davis As ‘Elf Against A Giant’
Gareth A Davies the boxing pundit in the UK had a unique way of describing it, saying to the Stomping Ground Podcast earlier:
“It’s an elf against a giant, isn’t it? David versus Goliath, straight from the frying pan into the fire.”
Look, if it is just an exhibition then it is a bit of a freak show.
But if they really want to capture more commercial sponsors and interest, they should consider maybe making it into a hybrid professional boxing match.
Then it makes it very dangerous for such a small fighter in Gervonta Davis as Jake Paul will be knock him out.
And as someone way bigger than him, he could do him some serious damage.
That car crash intrigue will draw the masses to the event.
At the same time, if Davis pulled it off it would then have the whole David vs Goliath story line and promotion.
Something streaming giant Netflix will be able to promote well.
It also makes it a legit professional boxing match if they can get the Commission to agree to it.
Legitimate professional boxers and former world champions like Nonito Donaire continue to want to fight on Jake Paul vs Gervonta Davis undercard.
