Greatness prevailed tonight as Shakur Stevenson put on one of the great boxing performances of his career against one of Mexico’s best boxers.
William Zepeda trained like a lunatic for tonight and was ready and was relentless but he just ran into a future all time great in the making.
New Jersey’s Shakur Stevenson like all great fighters do tonight rose to the occasion:
Showing he can fight on the inside in the pocket at close quarters against such a tough, world level Mexican boxer, showed a new side to Stevenson’s fight game tonight.
He showed an iron chin at times too but will look to not get caught like that again.
Stevenson won the contest by UD and defended his WBC lightweight title in doing so.
