Joe Calzaghe of Wales and Carl Froch of England have been linked with a fight recently even in their advanced years in news in boxing earlier in 2025.
It appeared that it was maybe a type of exhibition that was been looked at, that Froch mentioned on his podcast he was approached about.
It never came to fruition but the fight, a real one back in the day, between the two former super-middleweight champions, would have been quite brilliant.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Calzaghe said it would have been a good fight if it happened but that he would have:
“Demolished him.”
No messing around there from Calzaghe.
Ultimately the Froch vs Calzaghe fight would have been great back in the day but didn’t happen for whatever reason.
They were at different stages of their careers at that time, alas.
