Jake Paul is bringing Mexico’s greatest ever fighter Julio Cesar Chavez senior into the story line of his fight with his son Chavez Jr on June 28th.
In fact, Chavez senior has been front and center of much of the press conferences so far for the fight in California.
Most people agree Chavez is the best Mexican boxer, and fighter, that ever lived.
Jake Paul Wants To Prove Chavez Senior Wrong
After Canelo’s career maybe that view will change. Jake Paul told DAZN he is looking to prove the great Chavez wrong with the fight with his son:
Time will tell on that.
Even though Paul is a bit heavy he is training hard for this cruiserweight, as is Chavez Jr as well.
We think this will be a better fight than many expect this month.
There is an excellent fight on the undercard as well in the form of Gilberto Ramirez vs Yuniel Dorticos for the WBA and WBO cruiserweight titles.
Huge fight on the Paul vs Chavez Jr card no less.
Also Floyd Schofield is on the card as well as women’s fighter Holly Holm returning to boxing from UFC.
Proof once again how more UFC and MMA fighters once again are flooding into the biggest sport now, boxing.
Clearly.
Boxing got the Netflix deal recently for the Canelo vs Crawford super fight – not UFC.
Let that sink in.
