Former world champion Amir Khan from the UK knows plenty about Canelo Alvarez having shared the ring with him previously in his fight career.
He’s also fought Crawford as well – very few are in the position to call this fight like Khan.
Khan stepped up a huge amount of weight like Crawford is doing as well with Canelo that time, so Khan offers more insight than most in this super fight on September 13th.
Khan that night got knocked out heavily but was winning some early rounds against Alvarez with speed and movement.
Maybe something Crawford can go back and study in the weeks ahead.
Amir Khan Gives His Take On Canelo vs Crawford
Speaking to Talk Sport in the UK earlier Khan gave his view on the big fight:
“It’s a tough call. Canelo’s power is unmatched, though Crawford’s no lightweight. I fought both, and Canelo hits harder. Both are nearing the end of their careers, making it a 50/50 bout. Will it come down to skill, speed, or power? I lean slightly toward Canelo, despite my friendship with Crawford.”
Many will probably agree with him and not a whole lot give Crawford any chance, that’s okay.
Underdogs happen in story lines in boxing all the time.
At all levels of professional boxing.
That’s the great thing about the sport really when compared to others.
Especially lately.
Because of the high quality fights being made upsets can and do happen regularly in fact.
This fight on September 13th is so big even the likes of Shaq and Tom Brady are doing shows on it before hand.
