Japanese civil war is in the air soon when two of its famed fighting sons Naoya Inoue and Junto Inoue fight at some point.
Two of the country’s current world champions and after last weekend, some might have Junto Nakatani in their pound for pound rankings as well.
Teddy Atlas Breaks Down Why Nakatani Is Difficult For Inoue
Respected commentator Teddy Atlas spoke on the possibility of Naktani and ‘The Monster’ Inoue colliding in Japan at some point:
“And to your point, what makes Nakatani so damn difficult, good, and dangerous and dangerous for Inoue, to be quite frank, I mean, Inoue is dangerous for him too, in a way. What a fight that would be. But what makes him so interesting and so good to the eyes of Teddy Atlas here, is that he’s got the options. Not too many fighters have, with his great physical assets that you touched on, buddy, with the length and the height. With all of that, he’s a southpaw. He can fight on the outside and he probably should for the most part. He can control range. He can set up counters. He’s got good legs, he can use the ring. He could make you walk into mistakes. He can do so many things. But he can also fight inside.”
Inoue is fighting already next up we are almost certain against someone who can’t back out of.
But if that Nakatani vs Inoue fight could be put on the Canelo vs Crawford super fight card in Vegas somehow for September 13th, imagine it.
Maybe Top Rank and Bob Arum would have to shuffle things around but surely it is possible.
It would be quite good, as they say. Even if it happens a little later in the year or so, still quite good.
At some point, all hell is going to break loose when these two fight.
Real carnage.
True mayhem.
Happy days.
Well done to Nakatani on the victory last weekend.
