Abdullah Mason is one of the most prolifically brilliant prospects in professional boxing at the moment, who had another impressive win.
Keyshawn Davis the original main event headliner lost his belt at the scales and had to be pulled from the show after missing weight, he and his brother were then involved in a back stage brawl.
Mason stepped into the main event spot and won by TKO, salvaging, saving and rescuing the show essentially.
Abdullah Mason Reacts To Rescuing Keyshawn Davis Show
Speaking after the fight he told Fight Hub and a group of reporters of it all:
“What I envisioned was a main event in Cleveland, Ohio, for my first time headlining. But Norfolk is now like a second home to me. The support is amazing—every time I come out, the crowd is great, and I run into supportive people. That’s what I envisioned, something like this but in Cleveland. The turnout was amazing. As for what’s next, we’re heading toward those titles. Whatever we can do to step forward and make that happen, we’re going to do it. We’ll get back with the team. The next fight might be for a vacant title—I’m not sure what it will be. That’s what we’re going to figure out next.”
He comes across as a balance young fighter but very deadly in the ring, he knows it is all about being relentless in all aspects to improve every day and be great everyday in all aspects of the fight game and life.
Certainly, we believe he will be challenging for a world title sooner rather than later.
Massive respect to him on saving the show in Virginia this weekend in boxing.
