UK heavyweight warrior Dillian Whyte is due to comeback properly to boxing this year at some points and some skeptics exist on it in boxing.
Not least former world champion Carl Froch who now has one of the biggest shows and podcasts in the entire sport.
Speaking on his show ‘Froch On Fighting’ with his wife Rachel this week, Froch was candid on Dillian Whyte:
“I can’t remember, he’s been out of the ring so long. For me, Dillian is a capable fighter who holds his own. He had two close fights with Derek Chisora, but at the elite level, he’s just tapping on the door. He’s had a big break from the ring due to a failed drug test, I think. He was with Eddie Hearn for a while, being promoted and looked after, and had a great career, but then he was out for ages because of the drug test issue. Now he’s back, signed under Frank Warren. I think Dillian’s had his career and his chance. He’s probably at the end, trying to make a few quid or get another stab at a world title.”
Respectfully, many will disagree.
Dillian Whyte is a smart man who would not come back unless he thought he could use all the experience and fight knowledge to do something good.
Whyte has punch power and has fought some very good fighters, don’t write him off too quick.
