Shakur Stevenson right here has called Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis’ bluff on some things and really put the challenge to him here for a fight with this.
Davis is expected to rematch Lamont Roach next up, firstly, however.
After that, a Davis vs Stevenson fight would be tremendous. Speaking to Ring Magazine, Stevenson said of his rival ‘Tank’:
“He goes out there, dissing me all the time, speaking badly about my name. If you feel the way you feel about me—that I’m not this, that I didn’t do anything for the sport of boxing, as he’s stated—then fight me. Why can’t you fight me, put me in my place, and make some money while you’re at it? Why go fight all these guys who haven’t done anything for the sport of boxing, haven’t accomplished the things I’ve accomplished, don’t have your stature, and then say, “Oh, he didn’t do anything—what has he done for the sport of boxing?” But you’re not fighting me—you’ll fight somebody else. So, fight me.”
Well, there you have it.
Stevenson clearly wants the fight and what a fight it would be.
