Renowned boxing trainer and heavyweight specialist Peter Fury took stock briefly of a huge win for Dave Allen over Johnny Fisher.
Peter Fury knows the heavyweights and heavyweight division maybe as well as anyone in world boxing and has much expertise in training heavyweights successfully.
Speaking to Kugan Cassius of IFL TV following Dave Allen’s shock knockout win over the weekend, Fury said:
“I thought Dave Allen did a great job. I commented on this before—he put in the perfect performance. He did what he needed to do, walked him down, and showed his experience over a relatively novice young heavyweight. He ticked all the boxes. I’m very pleased for Dave Allen; he was brilliant. It’s tough for Johnny Fisher, obviously. People believed he didn’t win the first fight, which led to this rematch, and now he’s suffered a loss like that. It’s probably a bit of a rebuild process for him.”
Respect to Dave Allen on a truly remarkable win and doing very well in his boxing career and life now.
Allen came into the fight in terrible shape but when it comes to heavyweights, he showed it only takes one punch to change it all.
