Carl Froch Finally Breaks His Silence On Darren Till

Carl Froch Finally Breaks His Silence On Darren Till

Carl Froch is not one to back down from a fight and always goes head on into confrontation with people, that’s the great thing about him really.

A pure fighter in every sense, Froch always falls out with people all the time, it is class to watch.

Then he gets on with them all of a sudden again then, like Amir Khan for instance.

Speaking on his own show ‘Froch on Fighting’ Froch enthused:

“Right, something I need to address. There’s a guy called Darren Till from Liverpool, an ex-MMA fighter turned boxer. He’s had a couple of Misfits fights—he looked terrible. I think he had a win this weekend, and yeah, he’s been calling me out. He’s been chatting crap, basically. Someone sent me a clip of him fighting a guy called Masvidal—let’s have a look at that before we get into it. Power shot, massive knockout win—boom, there now. That was a knockout, wasn’t it? He was asleep for a long time. Has he woken up yet? Has somebody found Darren Till—has he woken up? Because that was a bad knockout, man, and that was only half a punch as well. Masvidal sort of leaped in, did everything wrong because he’s not a boxer—he’s an MMA fighter. He stretched himself and threw a left hook, kind of a leading left cross from a southpaw position, and put him to sleep. He did give him one on the way down, just for good measure, to send him further into that deep sleep and put him on cloud cuckoo land. Darren Till was badly unconscious there.”

He didn’t stop there, though.

He went on to say:

“Can you imagine? This is what I’m talking about. You’ve got someone like Till calling me out—he’s getting absolutely knocked out by Masvidal with half a punch that clipped him on the chin. Can you imagine if a professional boxer like myself, at my level—you know what I’ve done, you know where I’ve been—can you imagine if I hit him with a right hand or a right uppercut straight on the chin? It would be an absolute wipeout—game over. The problem for Darren Till is I’ve been retired for 11 years. I’m not interested—I don’t want to fight anymore. Don’t call my name out to give yourself credence. Listen, if the money was there and it was big enough, I’d certainly take a look at it. But for now, Darren, one, you’d get demolished, and two, there’s no real money in it. So just pipe down about the Cobra’s name. After watching that and the fight this weekend, you need to have a reality check, mate. Have a word with yourself.”

Always brutally honest from ‘The Cobra’.

Alas, Carl Froch was linked with a return to boxing recently for a fight with Darren Till, sure, but nothing confirmed yet.

Time will tell.

Froch doesn’t seem interested unless they can come up with big numbers in the money department.

Tens of millions at least to get Froch out of bed.
