Former world champion now boxing promoter Oscar De La Hoya who has some bad blood with Canelo Alvarez said something good about him here.
Oddly so, eerily so even.
The super fight between Alvarez and Terence Crawford in September is one the whole world is looking forward to.
However, De La Hoya makes a compelling case here for why Crawford doesn’t have a hope in hell of beating Alvarez on the X app:
“So hear me out Crawford will be 38 And Canelo is 35 Crawford hasn’t fought in a year and got exposed by Madrimov IMO Canelo has been getting exposed for the past few years Can anyone please explain to me how this is the “biggest fight in boxing”?
Most boxing fans are agreeing with De La Hoya at the moment.
The thing is though, boxing is one of the few sports where things can change suddenly and surprises often, frequently do happen.
What’s more, Alvarez didn’t look great in his last fight with William Scull only very recently.
