Former world champion and commentator Tim Bradley is the latest to let rip and let the ‘Fatal Fury’ fights have it following the event in New York.
The event was closed to the public on the night and maybe with the way the fights went, that was not a bad thing.
People like Shannon Briggs have criticised the quality of the boxing action on the card and Bradley speaking to Fight Hub has done the same:
“I felt underwhelmed, man. I was p***** off after watching that, you know? And if I was pissed off, I know all the fans are p***** off too. I’m talking about being pissed off—I was so p***** off, it almost felt like I was insulted last night after watching that. I felt insulted, you know? I was disappointed in each guy’s performance, man. I was so disappointed. I thought all of them were whack—all of them, every last one of them. Man, I didn’t see any hunger in these dudes, man. No hunger. They’re only there for the money. That’s the problem. That’s the biggest problem with today’s boxing, man.”
It is rare these days to see a bad boxing card in terms of quality of action, the Canelo vs Scull fight sucked as well.
Inoue is back tonight however in Las Vegas to rescue the weekend of fights in boxing.
Overall, still, it was good to see big time boxing in New York and every single fight can’t always be a war or a barnstormer, ultimately.
