Carl Froch, the former world champion, has not sparred his cutting analysis from the big fights this weekend in boxing featuring Garcia and Canelo.
Froch was not very impressed with the boxing action in the ring like most.
Speaking on his podcast a short time ago, ‘Froch on Fighting’, ‘The Cobra’ blasted:
“It was absolutely crap, a load of rubbish, a waste of time. I don’t even know why Scull—I don’t know what his mindset was or what his corner was telling him, but to get in there and just dance around and move and be happy to hear the 12th-round bell, for me, it was just nonsense. The fight really was a waste of time”
He didn’t have good things to say about Garcia vs Romero either.
Feedback on some of the fights this weekend in boxing from fighters specifically has been that the fights were not great.
Ultimately boxing is in a great place and in general, 99 per cent of the fights in terms of action and matchmaking have been stellar and vastly improved recently.
Still room for improvement however.
Boxing is in a good place now but will continue to vastly grow and expand this year both commercially and as a sport worldwide.
