Shots fired. Oscar De La Hoya the promoter of Ryan Garcia, strongly dislikes Devin Haney’s manager and father clearly judging by this.
De La Hoya’s charge Garcia fights on the same bill as Haney tomorrow in an epic night for New York, Times Square, boxing, Mexico and America on Cinco De Mayo 2025 weekend kick-off.
Speaking to Fight Hub TV ahead of tomorrow, De La Hoya bullishly said of Bill Haney:
“I can’t believe Devin Haney hasn’t fired his father. How is Bill still his manager? He’s nearly ruined Devin’s career with lawsuits and drama. Devin’s a nice guy—I have nothing against him—but his father is sabotaging his potential. It’s mind-boggling. As for Ryan’s fight against Ramirez, it’ll be tough. Ramirez looks sharp and hits like a mule. After being away for a year and getting knocked down several times by Ryan last year, I’m curious about Devin’s confidence level. We’ll see how he reacts to a punch and if he can overcome those challenges.”
No pulling punches there.
Look, Haney is obviously not going to get rid of Haney snr.
It wasn’t long ago Haney senior won manager of the year as well.
Not an easy thing to do.
Something Al Haymon has dominated over the years in terms of the award.
