Chris Eubank Jr has spoken about his trip to hospital following his savage fight and win over Conor Benn in a fight for the ages in the UK recently.
Last weekend Eubank Jr finally fought long standing rival Conor Benn and won the fight in good fashion, a close battle though, he got the nod by UD on the cards.
Speaking a few days moved on from the fight now, Eubank Jr revealed to Sky Sports earlier on today after a wildly successful event for boxing:
“When you’re in a 12-round fight, you sustain injuries. I got headbutted above my eye around the middle of the fight. It opened up, and I had to go to the hospital to get it stitched up. Conor Benn and Eddie Hearn ran with the story of a broken jaw, but there’s no broken jaw here. Our bones are strong, dense. After a fight like that, you have to go to the hospital to get tested and looked after. But I’m feeling good, grateful that the fight was so well-received. I’m in a great place.”
Good news for him and the chance of a rematch happening with Benn next up.
Benn appears to have sustained no serious injuries in the fight either.
