Gennady Golovkin the boxing legend has provided a formal update on some matters pertaining and relating to Olympic sport development.
Ahead of the 2028 LA Olympics ‘GGG’ will chair World Boxing which will mean he is the main man essentially running amateur boxing at the next Olympics, very important obviously.
Speaking on Instagram yesterday he said the following as well:
“At today’s General Assembly of NOC Kazakhstan, members addressed key issues related to the development of Olympic sports. The meeting highlighted the need for new goals, decisions, and increased responsibility in this phase. Amendments to the NOC Charter were approved, new members were admitted, and the composition of the Executive Board was updated.”
Seems in order there.
The professionalism so far from Golovkin has been good not just in Olympic Sport dealings but in Kazakhstan as well.
Big things ahead for boxing — amateur and professional.
