Canelo Alvarez the Mexican warrior and boxing great returns soon and one of his fellow professional fighters has rated him.
Before Canelo fights on May 3rd next month Conor Benn fights Chris Eubank Jr this weekend ahead in the UK in a massive stadium fight.
Asked by some at The Ring on how he rates Alvarez he simply said:
“Legend. Pound for pound great.”
True. Alvarez is always looking for that edge and to take things further, moreover.
The thing is, Alvarez is only getting better still.
Alvarez will improve and get stronger in his mid to late thirties we believe history will show.
A truly devasting fighter and agent of clinical precise lethality. A proper hitman. Deadly.
Alas, history will show him as a remarkable fighter and human being — Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez.
Time will tell though if he reaches Chavez senior as the greatest Mexican fighter ever.
We think he needs to fight David Benavidez at some stage.
Benavidez even has a world title now that Alvarez mentioned he didn’t have before.
Benavidez is becoming a huge star in the US and Latin America as well.
Big fight to be made still at some point.
Let’s see what happens.
