Conor Benn Reveals Why He Is Not Even Fazed By Eubank Jr Occasion

Conor Benn is a big underdog on Saturday in the fight with Chris Eubank Jr but his mentality comes across as very strong at the moment.

It is a major stadium fight in the UK where more than 60,000 fans will be in attendance.

He’s not fazed at all however, speaking to the Ring’s Unboxed segment:

“Nothing is scarier than being a 19-year-old with 20 amateur fights, not having fought for a year, raised in Sydney, coming to the UK, and fighting on the co-main event of an Anthony Joshua card at a sold-out O2 Arena. That was terrifying, but I did it.”

He added:

“Now, I’m here, and I just have to see it through. It’s taken me 10 years to get to this point—there’s no comparison. I was scared on my debut, not ready for that exposure or limelight. Now, whether it’s a stadium, the O2, or York Hall, once I’m in the ring, I’m good. Nothing else matters—it could be Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck ringside.”

Some solid points there.

He’s come a long way for sure.

This is the fight his life though and is moving up a lot in weight and giving away size.

That said, he knows speed is what kills, it is an old saying but very true.

If you can add precision and timing to that, that speed that is, you really have something then.

What a fight ahead.
