Canelo Alvarez is in a big fight next up against William Scull who is a world champion bigger than him but there is a big prize on offer after.
That’s a super fight with pound for pound top dog and head honcho Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford.
Crawford is giving away a lot in size for the fight (only if Canelo beats Scull which is not guaranteed) but per ESPN via Ring Magazine on X mentioned he like Crawford has also won titles in many weight classes — so is taking nothing for granted.
He’s right too.
Even though he’ll go into as a big favorite the man for mission impossible has to be ‘Bud’.
It would be a superman type achievement to even come close to beating Alvarez, without over twelve rounds or inside of that.
Speed will be Crawford’s friend obviously but Canelo isn’t exactly slow, that said, speed is what Crawford will need to use at his most sharpest ever.
He’d need to be at least twice as sharp as the night he beat Kell Brook or some of his other good wins.
That’s how he sharp he needs to be getting, literally, as sharp as the sharpest knife on Earth.
Canelo must get past Scull first though — which is no easy task.
