A meeting of minds and power players in both boxing and combat sports has taken place again in a big year ahead for boxing.
The sport of boxing is set to go into a boom time in 2025 and beyond due to the best prize fighters in the world fighting one another again, a model that helped grow the UFC.
Now, per the above photo (courtesy of Turki Alalshikh X account), Dana White of the UFC is meeting Saudi advisor Turki Alalshikh and others to continue discussions in a new proposed boxing league — the latter saying on X:
“With my dear friends: Dana White, Nick Khan, Zack Snyder and Rodrigo Lorenzo… If there is one thing that I am sure of: is that 2025 will be a crazy year and I mean it… stay tuned for 4 – 5 big surprises that are massive, different and groundbreaking …and of course one of them is the reason why Zach Snyder is in the picture not as a fighter we will announce soon”
Maybe similar to the UFC, maybe not.
Time will tell.
With that being said, yet another big thing for not only boxing but professional sport in the East, and indeed for the West a bit, too.
