After sharing the ring with ‘The Monster’ David Benavidez, defeated David Morrell took an interesting question.
A strange one, on if he thought Benavidez is overhyped.
Speaking after the fight Morrell said:
“A little bit of both (he was and he wasn’t). But I definitely made a couple of mistakes to give him the fight he wanted.”
Kind of sitting on the fence a bit there. Clearly Benavidez is not overhyped, obviously.
You could tell both boxers were after clearly being on one hell of a fighter afterwards.
