Pound for pound young boxing star Teofimo Lopez recently won again and gave his take on what he saw tonight.
Like Stevenson, Lopez didn’t have his best ever performance last time out either.
That said, he wasted little time saying goodbye to Stevenson who’s last fight expired tonight with their shared promoter Top Rank.
Speaking to Fight Hub Teofimo Lopez said:
“Ain’t nobody watching that ****. People walked out? Well it’s his last fight with Top Rank so good riddance. Nobody is going to care about that.”
No punches pulled there. Stevenson potentially could be fighting Gervonta Davis next up.
Potentially they could be opponents in the future too.
Now that likely Stevenson is leaving the Top Rank team soon after tonight’s fight.
It is thought Lopez will be back around September or October time.
The lighter weights are chock a block full of pound for pound contenders and world champions at this particular time.
