Former heavyweight champion Sonny Liston was known to be a quiet individual in his time.

A man who kept to himself and stuck with his friends and family.

A very intelligent man Liston in many ways.

He did make some ‘friends’ or ‘acquaintances’ in boxing however.

None more so than former champion George Foreman who perhaps knew him better than most fighters.

They sparred a lot together and Liston helped Foreman tremendously according to Foreman.
