It has now been confirmed that a young boxer, Jeanette Zacarias Zapata of Mexico, at just 18-years-old tragically died following a boxing match that took place in Montreal.
It has been reported she suffered head injuries in the bout that caused her death afterwards.
A stark reminder of the realities of professional boxing even in this day and age.
