Irish fight star Conor McGregor suffered defeat on Saturday night in Las Vegas in the UFC.
It was a first round TKO loss to old competitor Dustin Poirier.
Brought about by a clean break injury that caused a halt to the contest in round one.
McGregor has now said the following on surgery and the injury:
A speedy recovery to the Irishman.
McGregor previously competed in professional boxing a few years back.
A TKO defeat to former pound for pound number one Floyd Mayweather.
