Deontay Wilder Trainer Grabs Attention With Muhammad Ali Claim

This is certainly going to grab attention in boxing.

Likely further afield too.

Muhammad Ali is considered today by many to be one of, if not, the greatest boxer that ever lived.

Some will disasgree though and that’s okay.

Sometimes humans have different viewpoints, that’s okay.

Former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder’s new trainer, and former heavyweight himself, Malik Scott, has put his charge in grand company in the build-up to his next fight.

Speaking to 78SportsTV YouTube Scott said:

“Muhammad Ali is one of my greatest fighters of all time. He very was magical in the ring. But it was the things he beat outside the ring that truly got my attention. Deontay Wilder is the closest thing to that in this time.”

Wilder is currently in preparation for his third fight with lineal heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

The two are set to fight on July 24th in Las Vegas.
