George Foreman Finally Comes Clean About The Only Boxer He Avoided

In terms of legends of the ring in heavyweight boxing George Foreman is certainly up there.

He fought the best of his time in an era that perhaps represented the finest ever era in the heavyweight division.

The likes of himself, Ali, Frazier, Liston and Norton competed in a ferocious time for the giants of the ring.

However, one name went a little bit unknown to many that might come as a surprise to some.

Indeed, Foreman admitted on social media that the one fighter he avoided in his career was a man by the name of Oscar Bonavena.

On why he didn’t want to fight him Foreman told one fan on his official Twitter account:

Humble as always.

Even the oldest heavyweight champion in boxing history didn’t fancy taking on some opponents it would appear.

Bonavena was a standout heavyweight from Argentina.

He held a professional record of 58-9-1-44KO.

A man who gave both Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier in particular very tough assignments in the ring.
