Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis set the world of boxing on fire tonight with one of the great performances of 2020.

And, most certainly one of the best knockouts of the year.

In an amazing punch followed by a superb battle preceding the former Davis knocked out Mexican boxing warrior Leo Santa Cruz in some fashion.

So much so that long time boxing fan and NBA legend Magic Johnson now believes he is the number one pound for pound fighter in boxing:

Well after tonight’s performance there will be many who agree with him.

Formulating pound for pound boxing rankings enxt week will be tricky on here.

But in a good way.

The new generation and next plethora of stars in the sport are all emerging now out of the rubble of 2020.

The positives in boxing at the moment are steadfast and plentiful in what is set to be an awesome end to the year for the sport.

Here’s some of the reaction to Johnson’s remark thus far:

The great thing about these pound for pound debates in American boxing is that all these new stars emerging are all around the same weight.

All based in America too mainly so fights between them next year are very plausible.

What a time for the sport of boxing in America again.

Awesome weekend of boxing and much more to come soon.
