Errol Spence Breaks Silence For First Time Since Car Crash – Next Fight Update

Errol Spence Breaks Silence In First Public Interview Since Car Crash

Earlier this year pound for pound rated American boxer Errol Spence Jr from Texas won his latest bout in the ring over Shawn Porter.

A fight where he was pushed hard in but alas, one he got the win in.

Not long after that however Spence was involved in a horrific car crash where his Ferrari ejected him face-first through the front of the vehicle windscreen.

Miraculously, he survived and somehow didn’t suffer any major injuries.

Talks of a long awaited showdown with his fellow American welterweight rival Terence Crawford have understandably been put on ice for the time being.

While the breaks are on for now, Spence gave his first public interview appearance on Saturday night and gave an update to everyone:

With his next fight being in May or June, that’s great news for sure.

A speedy recovery and getting well soon is what is most important, however.

One would suspect the comeback fight will be a warm up fight until he can get the big one with Crawford likely by the end of 2020.

Failing getting that fight by the end of 2020, the Pacquiao bout could be a big one at some point too.

All in all, a very lucky man to come away unscathed from what he went through and to plan to get back in the ring so relatively quickly.
