Filipino boxing icon and general all-round legend for humanity Manny ‘Pacman’ Pacquiao has experienced a resurgence to form in the ring in recent years.

At 40 years of age his work ethic is perhaps unparalleled in the sport and at the start of the year he defeated a multi-weight world champion many years his junior, in the form of Adrien Broner, with relative ease.

He followed it up with another win over Keith Thurman last summer.

He’s now on political duties back in his home country but it won’t be long before he has the gloves on again one suspects.

Pacquiao by all accounts is going to have at least one if not more big fights before he retires and while his next opponent in 2020 has not been confirmed his trainer Freddie Roach had this much to say to the guys at Fight Hype YouTube (hat tip):

A fight with Danny Garcia would be a fun one fight style-wise with both guys very come forward and big hitting type combatants.

An easy one to make too with both of them on the same network and within the Premier Boxing Champions stable.

Of course, there’s also the long lingering Floyd Mayweather rematch which has been dragged on for a while now as well.

But after Floyd announced his return on Instagram last night one can’t really rule anything out.
