Jeff Mayweather Reveals What Shannon Briggs Did Before KSI Fight

Before this weekend’s boxing match between YouTube stars KSI and Logan Paul the big story of the week involved Paul corner team member Shannon Briggs.

Former heavyweight champion Briggs had been in his usual vocal voice all week in LA before the fight.

His familiar chant of ‘Lets Go Champ’ doing the rounds in support of his fighter Logan Paul.

However the day before the fight Briggs’ enthusiasm spilled over into a confrontation with professional fighter Badou Jack’s manager which was caught on tape and also more seriously, with KSI team member Viddal Riley:

Uncle of legendary boxer Floyd Mayweather and trainer of winner this weekend KSI, Jeff Mayweather, has now actually revealed what happened.

According to Mayweather — Briggs through a punch in the incident:

Concerning stuff indeed.

Potentially the fight could have been called off by the sounds of things.

No doubt there will be no love lost between all involved moving forward and it will be interesting to see what view the California State Athletic Commission take if it is true that a bare knuckle punch was thrown.

Shannon Briggs has created a large online following in recent years for his positive chants of ‘Lets Go Champ’ but has not been active in the ring for some time (2016).
