Following Terence Crawford’s stoppage win over Amir Khan at the weekend the inevitable calls for a showdown between him and fellow welterweight champion Errol Spence have come this week.
Two of the apex athletes in the sport today.
Both undefeated, in their primes and regarded not only as the two best welterweights on Earth today but arguably two of the best fighters in the world pound for pound.
Certainly both inside most people’s top five pound for pound lists.
But will the fight happen is the question?
Boxing politics have blocked it from happening long enough and after a stellar two years that the sport of boxing has experienced — boxing needs super fights again this year.
This is definitely one of them.
Following the weekend’s bout this popular video of the two exchanging words has surfaced again that has brought about similar sentiment from the boxing world at large who all are calling for the fight to happen:
