Former welterweight champion Danny Garcia returned to action this past weekend with an impressive showing over Adrian Granados.

On route to handing Granados his first stoppage defeat of his pro career in round 7, Garcia dropped and outclassed him for large periods of the bout and showed he’s still a force to be reckoned with at 147lbs.

In case you missed the fight that folks at PBC YouTube (hat tip) have shared the following fight highlights:

That performance certainly puts Garcia back in the mix for some interesting fights at welterweight next up.

Being under the PBC banner he’ll have no shortage of possible 147lbs opponents of course — with many of the top names in the division all under one roof now.

The likes of Errol Spence, Shawn Porter, Manny Pacquiao and Keith Thurman are all fights that could easily be made for Garcia next up.

Of course, there’s also WBO champ Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford who won at the weekend against Amir Khan fighting on the same schedule as Garcia too.

But that doesn’t seem like a likely a fight due to the divide and politics between the fighters’ handlers at this point.

Either way, Danny Garcia at 31 showed he has plenty left in the game this past weekend and certainly has a few good years at the highest level of the sport left just yet.
