Sergey Kovalev is strongly linked with a fight against the UK’s Anthony Yarde next up in what would be a massive clash of light-heavyweight punching power.
Many speculated initially that Yarde would not take the fight however due to the lack of experience he has compared to Kovalev at this point in his pro boxing career.
But as times goes on the more and more likely it looks like it’s going to happen.
Well known and respected pundit Spencer Fearon has reported on social media that a Russian billionaire wants to see the fight so much that he’s offered Yarde a whopping $4.2 million to fight Kovalev.
An incredible purse on offer to the young fighter that if true, simply an offer he can’t refuse.
While the name of the billionaire is not known as of yet, if the above figure turns out to be correct — there is no chance in hell in anyone will come anywhere near that figure to match it.
News of the fight getting confirmed should be forthcoming before the end of the month.
