Former WBO middleweight world champion Billy Joe Saunders has had a less than friendly relationship with Chris Eubank Jr over the years.
To put it mildly. There appears to be some genuine hate there if truth be told.
Saunders beat Eubank Jr on points a few years back closer to the start of both men’s professional boxing careers.
A lot has changed since then and Saunders has gone on to become world champion.
Eubank Jr, now, has finally recorded a big win against an opponent of genuine note in the form of James DeGale this weekend.
A fight he was expected to lose by many beforehand to be fair.
Saunders has reacted to the win with the following on his Twitter account:
No doubt a rematch would be a big fight and the two are now both competing at super-middleweight too after Saunders recently moved up to the weight class.
Saunders challenges for the vacant WBO title at 168lbs so if he won that would also have a world title for a possible grudge match showdown between the two as well.
There is certainly plenty of story line and needle to promote a rematch between the two that the public would no doubt be interested in seeing again.
